Violet Mae, born December 10, weighing 8 lbs 10 oz, measuring 22 inches long ♥
April 2, 2013 – The morning after we found out I was pregnant. I was extremely nervous and anxious. I did not want to have my picture taken, but hubs insisted. I was so nervous about everything that could go wrong after trying to conceive for so long. I was in disbelief. I didn’t want to jinx anything. (But now I’m glad he took the picture.)
December 5, 2013 – The evening of my due date. No baby. Not dilated. Smiling even though this was, like, take 1 million. It’s hard to get a good picture when you are huge and tired. Still super nervous, but for very different reasons. Doctor says we’ll talk induction next week. I am currently not favorable.
I’m still here. I’m still pregnant. And just in case you felt the need to ask…
No picture for this bumpdate, because I’m going to take one tomorrow, on my due date. I might actually do my makeup for it and everything. Or maybe not. Probably not. We’ll see.
Jackfruit (here is a link to the Wiki, because nobody actually knows what a jackfruit is) Juuuust kidding. Got ahead of myself, there. Jackfruit is forty weeks. Thirty-nine weeks is watermelon. DUH.
Best moment this week: Lots of naps this week. Naps are awesome.
Shoes still fit? Yup
Labor signs: Still not a contraction to speak of.
Looking forward to: A baby? Maybe?
Like most women having their babies this time of year, I want to combine our birth announcements with our holiday cards. There are a lot of cute holiday/winter themed options out there, so I’ve started keeping track of my favorites over on my Pinterest. I may end up DIYing mine, but these are all great inspiration for what I want!
It’s December! So exciting for so many different reasons! Ahh!
These aren’t baby or pregnancy related, but I was having issues finding good Chirstmas wallpapers for my phone, so I made my own. I thought I’d share them with you all, because I’m such a giving, generous person. :)
(Apologies if these are too wide for your phone. I’m cheap and still rock an iPhone 4, so they work perfectly for mine!)
Okay, normally I’m good, and I wait until after Thanksgiving to decorate for Christmas. HOWEVER, this year, hubs is working from Wednesday-Sunday, and then we’ll only be a few days from my due date. I think this gives me a fair excuse to decorate early. And I don’t care if you agree or not! :p So here I am with my tree and mantle, and some fake snow frame, cause why not?
